Supply Chain Coordinator (Procurement & Inventory, Food & Beverage)

About the role

GateSource HR Caribbean Division is recruiting, on behalf of a client, a Supply Chain Coordinator based in Sint Maarten (Dutch Caribbean). The role manages efficient, cost-effective procurement and contract management for equipment, materials, goods and services, in line with company standards, legal requirements and ethical practices.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse supplier data and organisational needs, and generate reports and forecasts to support procurement planning
• Conduct market research on trends, segments, risks and opportunities to inform sourcing strategies
• Implement cost control methods and document processes, including monthly cost reports on supplies
• Plan and manage inventory with primary and secondary suppliers, ensuring timely orders
• Source, assess and negotiate purchasing options; test and document product samples for quality assurance
• Evaluate vendors periodically and identify new suppliers, requesting and consolidating quotations or tenders
• Document procurement processes, assist in developing procurement policies and educate staff on guidelines
• Take part in stock-taking and analyse procurement data for internal reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a focus on Purchasing, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally in Food and Beverage or Airline/Catering
• Dutch passport required

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills preferred)
• Strong analytical, negotiation and project management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail
