Enterprise IT Administrator (Cloud Infrastructure / Cybersecurity / IT Operations)

About the role

Gatesource HR is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced Enterprise IT Administrator for a full-time position in St. Maarten. The role leads the design, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of enterprise IT systems, keeping a secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure covering on-premises hardware, cloud platforms, networks and enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage systems and network configurations, ensuring high uptime, reliability and scalability.
• Configure, monitor and improve cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, with a focus on cost efficiency and security.
• Implement and maintain data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity protocols.
• Oversee IT operations, support functions and asset management in line with ITIL best practices.
• Use monitoring tools to detect and fix performance or security issues early, and run regular vulnerability assessments and audits.
• Enforce IT security policies and align them with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Support infrastructure needs across business units, lead upgrade projects, migrations and deployments, and track KPIs and project outcomes.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align IT strategy with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience managing IT infrastructure, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage several priorities at once.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Network architecture, including firewalls, VPNs and VLANs.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as SolarWinds or Nagios.
• Cybersecurity practices and compliance standards.
